What it is
Traction Complete is a Salesforce managed package that fixes the account layer underneath routing: it builds and maintains account hierarchies, matches inbound leads to the right account, merges duplicates, and routes Leads, Accounts, Cases and Opportunities to owners with SLA timers attached. It is the closest structural peer to LeanData, with one difference that decides most evaluations — hierarchies are a first-class product here, not a prerequisite you are expected to have already solved. The company spun out of Traction on Demand after Salesforce acquired that consultancy in April 2022, and raised $5M in growth financing led by Pender Ventures and Thomvest Ventures.
Everything runs inside the customer’s Salesforce org. There is no middleware to operate and no copy of the CRM sitting in a vendor’s cloud, which is the reason it clears security review at companies where an off-platform routing layer does not.
Why it shows up in RevOps stacks
- Hierarchies and matching ship together. Lead-to-account matching is only as good as the account structure it matches against. Most teams buy a routing tool, discover their Acme Manufacturing / Acme Capital / Acme Holdings problem six weeks in, and then buy a second tool. Complete Hierarchies builds parent-child links from any provider that supplies an account identifier — Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, Leadspace, Clearbit — or from internal fields like domain and territory when there is no external feed.
- Multiple hierarchies, not one true tree. A drag-and-drop builder lets you split a legal-entity hierarchy away from the GTM hierarchy the AEs are compensated on. Roll-up reporting runs on any object across the account family.
- Data Agents, shipped June 25 2026. Agents cleanse, connect and enrich records before they land in Salesforce, with secondary validation, human sign-off, and every decision logged with a confidence score, source, and reasoning narrative. That audit trail is the part that matters — it is what lets RevOps approve automated merges without hand-checking them.
- Dedupe at production scale. Complete Clean handles matching and merging; the YMCA of San Diego County case study reports over 75% duplicate reduction.
Asana, GitHub, Cisco and Zoom are named as production customers. G2 carries a 4.7/5 average across roughly 176 reviews.
Pricing reality
Complete Hierarchies lists on the AppExchange at $15 per license per month. Almost nobody pays that. Vendr’s verified purchase data for a 100-user, 12-month deployment puts the range at $5,100–$8,600 per year, with the median at $6,015 — about $60 per user per year, roughly a quarter of list. Larger deals land in the same band per seat rather than dropping: one buyer paid $23,000 for 390 users ($59/user), another $58,000 for 660 users ($88/user). Median contract value across the whole product line is $40,672.
There are no published volume tiers, and Vendr records 40–50% price variation at identical user counts. Practical consequence: your discount is a function of how hard you negotiate, not of your seat count, so get a competing LeanData quote before you sign. Bundling Hierarchies with Complete Leads reportedly improves the rate 15–25% over buying either standalone (estimate, based on Vendr’s aggregated buyer data).
Best for
Mid-market and enterprise Salesforce-native RevOps teams — roughly 100 to 1,000 CRM seats — whose routing is failing because the account structure is wrong, not because the routing rules are wrong. The clearest signal is a team that already runs round-robin assignment and still misroutes multi-divisional and subsidiary accounts.
Do not buy it if you are not on Salesforce; the product has no meaning off-platform, and HubSpot or Attio shops should stop reading here. Also skip it for product-led motions where inbound is self-serve trial signups against flat, single-entity accounts — there is no hierarchy to resolve, and Salesforce assignment rules will carry you past 1,000 leads a month.
Versus the alternative
- vs LeanData. LeanData is the category leader and has the stronger routing canvas: FlowBuilder handles branching scenarios Complete Leads needs more configuration to express. Traction Complete is stronger on hierarchies and dedupe, and materially cheaper — LeanData mid-market deployments run $30K–$80K annually against a $6K–$40K band here. Pick LeanData when routing logic complexity is the bottleneck; pick Traction Complete when account structure and duplicates are.
- vs ZoomInfo Operations (formerly RingLead). Broader data orchestration across systems, and the right answer if the mess spans marketing automation and the warehouse too. Pick Traction Complete when the problem is contained to Salesforce and you want the fix to stay in the org.
- vs Chili Piper. Different bottleneck. Chili Piper owns speed-to-lead and meeting handoff; it does not solve account hierarchy. Teams commonly run one of each.
- vs Default. The fastest-growing entrant in inbound routing, AI-native and much faster to stand up, but it is built for inbound-to-meeting flows and does not touch account hierarchy or dedupe. Pick Default at under 100 seats with simple accounts; pick Traction Complete when the account graph is the problem.
- vs native Salesforce assignment rules plus Apex. A senior admin can build matching and a parent-child job. The cost is their calendar and the maintenance burden every time an acquisition rewrites a company name. That trade flips against DIY somewhere around 10,000 accounts.
Watch-outs
- Hierarchy quality is capped by the identifier feed. With no D&B or ZoomInfo subscription you are building from domains, and domain-based parenting mis-links shared-domain subsidiaries and misses rebrands entirely. Guard: price the data provider into the business case as a line item, or accept a documented accuracy ceiling and run a quarterly manual review of the top 200 accounts.
- Data Agents are ten weeks old at the time of writing. The deterministic matching engine underneath is mature; the agentic layer on top launched June 25 2026 and has no long production record. Guard: run agents in the human-approval mode they ship with for the first two quarters, and read the confidence-score logs before turning on unattended merges. Do not let a sales cycle talk you into auto-merge on day one.
- Merges are hard to undo. Complete Clean merges Salesforce records at scale, and Salesforce merges are not cleanly reversible. Guard: take a full account and lead export before the first bulk run, and cap the initial pass to a single, filtered segment.
- Salesforce-native means Salesforce-locked. The hierarchy structures are custom objects in your org. Guard: if a CRM migration is on the two-year roadmap, export the hierarchy relationships to a neutral CSV quarterly so the graph survives the move.
- No MCP server and no agent-facing API of its own. If your plan is to have an LLM agent query account structure directly, you will be going through the Salesforce API, not through Traction Complete. Guard: confirm the Salesforce API path in a proof of concept before committing the agent roadmap to it.
