What it is
Simplesat is a CSAT, NPS, and CES survey tool built to sit inside a helpdesk. The survey fires when a ticket closes, or rides in the agent’s email signature, and the rating and comment post back onto the original ticket as a comment, tag, or custom field. It connects to Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Gorgias, Help Scout, Front, Kustomer, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, and Salesforce, plus a long tail of MSP and PSA tools; the vendor counts 100+ integrations and “over 1,000 support teams” as customers. It is closer to Nicereply than to Qualtrics: one job, ticket-level feedback, done without an implementation project.
Why it shows up in Customer Success stacks
Two shutdowns put it on shortlists. Qualtrics closed Delighted on June 30, 2026, and SurveyMonkey closes GetFeedback Direct on December 31, 2026; both vendors point customers at their own enterprise platforms. Simplesat is one of the few replacements that publishes prices, bills per response instead of per agent, and offers free migration help on every plan: survey rebuild, helpdesk connection, and CSV import with no row limit, where imported history does not count against the monthly allowance.
The second reason is agent attribution. Responses tie back to the agent and ticket, so leaderboards and low-score alerts to Slack or Teams work out of the box. For teams running an AI support agent, a Decagon integration surveys the bot’s conversations and imports their CSAT, so human and AI resolutions are scored on the same scale.
Pricing reality
Checked 2026-10-28 on simplesat.io/pricing. Prices per month, monthly billing / annual billing:
- Starter $149 / $119 — 5 users, 300 responses, 1 brand
- Pro $299 / $249 — 10 users, 1,000 responses, 2 brands, automatic topic detection, Salesforce
- Premium $599 / $499 — 15 users, 2,500 responses, multi-language surveys, custom topics and roles
- Scale $999 / $829 — 20 users, 5,000 responses, SAML SSO (Okta, Entra)
- Enterprise — quote, annual only
Feedback from unlimited support agents is included at every tier; “users” are the people who log in to read reports. API and webhooks are on every plan. There is no overage fee: responses beyond the cap are held and released when the allowance resets.
The real price is per response. Annual Starter works out to about $0.40 per response, Pro to $0.25, Scale to $0.17. Most teams needing more than a CSAT score land on Pro, because Starter lacks automatic topic detection and the Salesforce connector. A 14-day trial with Premium features needs no card.
Best for
A support operations lead at a 10–100 agent helpdesk team that wants per-ticket CSAT with agent-level reporting, has outgrown the native survey, and does not want an enterprise feedback contract. It is the default pick for ex-Delighted or ex-GetFeedback Direct teams whose survey fires on ticket closure.
Not for: product or research teams running multi-question studies (no survey logic beyond short CSAT/NPS/CES/5-star forms), or anyone needing statistical driver analysis across channels.
Versus the alternatives
- Native helpdesk CSAT (Zendesk, Freshdesk) — the incumbent default, and free with the seats you already pay for. Zendesk includes CSAT on Suite Growth and above, with an editable question, scale, and labels. Pick native if you only need a team-level score; pick Simplesat when you need NPS and CES alongside CSAT, agent leaderboards, or one survey across several helpdesks.
- Nicereply — the closest direct rival: $239/mo annual for 1,000 responses and 25 users, against Simplesat Pro at $249 for 1,000 responses and 10 users. Pick Nicereply when more people need report access; pick Simplesat for the broader helpdesk and ITSM catalog.
- Customer Thermometer — $159/mo for 1,000 responses, $259 for 5,000, unlimited users, month-to-month. Pick it on price when volume is high and agent-level detail matters less.
- Retently — pick it when relationship NPS, not ticket CSAT, is the program and you want an MCP server so Claude or ChatGPT can query scores.
- Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey Enterprise — the vendor-recommended paths, both quote-only. Pick them only when you are buying a cross-channel experience program with an owner and budget, not a ticket survey.
Watch-outs
- Held responses distort the month. Over the cap, feedback is held until reset, so a spike month shows a partial picture. Guard: size the tier to your busiest month, not your average, and set a usage alert in the account settings.
- The AI layer is thin. Topic detection is the only built-in analysis, and it starts on Pro. Guard: if nobody reads verbatims today, budget for an analysis tool such as Enterpret rather than expecting the survey tool to cover it.
- Email surveys land in spam. G2 reviewers report survey emails caught by filters. Guard: send from your helpdesk’s authenticated domain or use the signature embed, and compare response rate per channel in the first two weeks.
- SAML SSO starts at $829/mo. Google and Microsoft sign-in are on every plan, but Okta or Entra SAML needs Scale. Guard: confirm your IT policy before choosing a tier, or the security review forces a mid-contract upgrade.
